Pistachio Soufflé, in detail.
Pistachio Soufflé is a pale, low-chroma green, and pale greens are unforgiving in silicone: too much white in the compound and it goes grey, too little and it turns mint. We landed on a milk-loaded blend that keeps the warm undertone under both daylight and tungsten, which matters because that warm undertone is exactly what lights up the Blaue Acht's gold dial markers. Against the navy Bioceramic case the effect is the same complementary lift as the link version, but the uninterrupted silicone surface makes the pale field wider and the navy case sit even more distinctly above it.

Crown position determines strap orientation. The Blaue Acht is a Lépine layout — crown at 12 o'clock — so it takes Strap I. The octagonal holder is machined to the millimetre of the 40mm Bioceramic case; eight stainless screws fix it without touching the dial or crystal.

Vulcanised FKM, soft against skin, resistant to water, sweat, sunlight and UV. Lighter on the wrist, sportier read. Bioceramic case adapter is identical — only the strap material changes.

Specs
