Midnight Sapphire, in detail.
Dark blue silicone tends to drift purple under LED light, which would break the complementary relationship with the orange case entirely. Midnight Sapphire's silicone compound was corrected toward cyan by a couple of points precisely to stop that — under cool office lighting it stays ink-blue instead of going aubergine. The matte finish is doing the same job as on the bioceramic version: refusing to reflect the bright dial so the strap reads as a flat, quiet anchor. The difference is presence. The link build frames the watch; the silicone recedes almost entirely, and the orange case is the only thing left on the wrist.

Crown position determines strap orientation. The Orenji Hachi is a Lépine layout — crown at 12 o'clock — so it takes Strap I. The octagonal holder is machined to the millimetre of the 40mm Bioceramic case; eight stainless screws fix it without touching the dial or crystal.

Vulcanised FKM, soft against skin, resistant to water, sweat, sunlight and UV. Lighter on the wrist, sportier read. Bioceramic case adapter is identical — only the strap material changes.
