Orenji Hachi is the bright object of the collection — saturated orange Bioceramic, a dial that reads from across a room. The strap had to ground that volume rather than echo it. Midnight Sapphire runs complementary: a deep ink-blue that sits at the cool end of the wheel and makes the orange case ring louder by contrast.

Midnight Sapphire, in detail.
Pairing Midnight Sapphire with the Orenji Hachi is the cleanest complementary pairing in the collection. Blue and orange sit directly opposite on the colour wheel, which is why the combination feels charged rather than busy — the same logic that gives Hermès its orange-and-navy boxes and Patek its blue dials on rose-gold cases. Against the orange Bioceramic the deep blue strap reads almost black at the edges of vision, then resolves into ink-blue when the wrist turns. The orange case lifts off the wrist as a single saturated object. The matte FKM finish refuses to reflect the bright dial, so the colour stays exactly where we tuned it.

Crown position determines strap orientation. The Orenji Hachi is a Lépine layout — crown at 12 o'clock — so it takes Strap I. The octagonal holder is machined to the millimetre of the 40mm Bioceramic case; eight stainless screws fix it without touching the dial or crystal.

Vulcanised FKM, soft against skin, resistant to water, sweat, sunlight and UV. Lighter on the wrist, sportier read. Bioceramic case adapter is identical — only the strap material changes.
