The colour story
Vantablack Velvet, in detail.
Vantablack Velvet was matched to the Ocho Negro from the first prototype. The strap is dialled to the deepest black we could pull from vulcanised FKM without going matte-flat — there is a faint, almost suede-like softness to the surface that catches light from above and absorbs it from the side. Against the black Bioceramic case the seam disappears: wrist, holder and case read as one continuous octagonal silhouette. The gold dial markers and the gold crown stay the only points of contrast, which is the whole reason the Ocho Negro exists.
Compatibility
Engineered for the AP × Swatch Royal POP Ocho Negro, crown at 12.
Crown position determines strap orientation. The Ocho Negro is a Lépine layout — crown at 12 o'clock — so it takes Strap I. The octagonal holder is machined to the millimetre of the 40mm Bioceramic case; eight stainless screws fix it without touching the dial or crystal.

Vulcanised FKM, soft against skin, resistant to water, sweat, sunlight and UV. Lighter on the wrist, sportier read. Bioceramic case adapter is identical — only the strap material changes.

Snap the watch into the octagonal holder. Snap it out for pocket-watch use. No tools, no glue, no permanent modification.
Specs
44.2mm × 53.2mm × 8.4mm with the case fitted. Strap tapers 22mm → 18mm. Fits 140–210mm wrists.
