The colour story
Vantablack Velvet, in detail.
Black silicone is where most straps go wrong: the surface picks up lint, greys out after a season, and turns shiny where the wrist bends. Vantablack Velvet in silicone is dyed through the polymer and finished with a fine micro-texture that scatters light instead of reflecting it, so it stays visually flat against the black Bioceramic case rather than developing a gloss patch at the buckle side. Sweat and chlorine do not touch the pigment. On a running wrist the lighter mass means the Ocho Negro stops rotating around the arm — the reason a lot of buyers pick silicone for this model specifically.

Engineered for the AP × Swatch Royal POP Ocho Negro, crown at 12.
Crown position determines strap orientation. The Ocho Negro is a Lépine layout — crown at 12 o'clock — so it takes Strap I. The octagonal holder is machined to the millimetre of the 40mm Bioceramic case; eight stainless screws fix it without touching the dial or crystal.

Vulcanised FKM, soft against skin, resistant to water, sweat, sunlight and UV. Lighter on the wrist, sportier read. Bioceramic case adapter is identical — only the strap material changes.

Snap the watch into the octagonal holder. Snap it out for pocket-watch use. No tools, no glue, no permanent modification.
Specs
